With what we know now about the weather for tomorrow, school will resume for students and staff on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.
As a result of the loss of three instructional days at the end of the semester, Walled Lake Schools administration, in collaboration with teachers and staff, have decided to alter the schedule for the next couple of weeks so that staff and students can review and prepare for the Benchmark Assessments and Final Exams. Prime Time Care will be open for Elementary children tomorrow at its normal time. Since most Community Education programs were cancelled earlier this week, Community Education class make-ups will begin starting Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 and participants will be notified of those make-ups. For questions, concerning Community Education, please call at 248-956-5003.
REVISED SCHEDULE FOR JANUARY 2014
n Tuesday -- Jan. 14 -- 1/2 day AM Instruction, 1/2 day pm Professional Development will remain unchanged.
n Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Jan. 15-17) -- Full Instructional Days instead of Final Exam 1/2 days.
n Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Jan. 21-23, 7:15 to 10:36 a.m.) -- 1/2 days for Final Exams.
n Friday, Jan. 24 -- First day of the second semester.
n Friday, Jan. 17 -- 1/2 day am Instruction / pm Professional Development will remain unchanged.
n Otherwise no scheduling adjustments.

NOTE: Since, six "school closing days" are allowed from the start of school until April 1, before time must be made up, the last day of school in the Walled Lake Schools calendar, will remain June 11, 2014.

n Elementary -- Teacher grades due Monday Feb. 3; posted online for parents on Feb. 5.
