Please join City Administration for a Public Information Meeting
Earlier this year, the Novi City Council unanimously passed a motion directing City staff to draft an ordinance which would move Novi to a single trash hauler system. The new ordinance includes:
The requirement that all refuse and solid waste be collected and removed by a single waste hauler, with whom the City is responsible to contract.
This requirement applies to residential premises only, which include single family homes, duplexes, and certain condominium developments to be designated by the City Manager where refuse is collected in a manner similar to single family homes.
There will be two Public Information Meetings held in August to share information regarding the new trash collection initiative and to answer questions. The dates are: Tuesday, August 18 from 6:30-8pm at Novi Civic Center and Tuesday, August 25 from 6:30-8pm at Hickory Woods Elementary.
